# What to Wear for Your Maternity Photos

If you're anything like most of the mums who walk into my studio, you've probably had the same thought...

*"I have absolutely nothing to wear."*

The good news?

You don't need to.

Every maternity session includes full access to my collection of beautiful gowns, fabrics, and styling pieces. Together we'll choose something that suits your style and makes you feel amazing.

### Keep It Simple

The dress should never steal the attention.

You should.

Soft colours like cream, white, beige, light brown, dusty blue, sage green, or black photograph beautifully and keep the focus exactly where it belongs—on you and your beautiful bump.

### Avoid Busy Patterns

Large logos, bright colours, and busy prints can distract from the emotion in your photographs.

Unless it is the bright style your looking for!

But timeless outfits will still look beautiful years from now.

### Don't Worry About Posing

This is probably the biggest worry I hear.

"I don't know how to pose."

Perfect.

That's my job.

I'll guide you through every single pose from head to toe. I'll show you where to place your hands, how to stand, how to breathe, and even where to look.

You don't need any experience.

Just trust me.

### What About Partners and Children?

If your partner or little ones are joining you, I recommend keeping everyone's outfits in similar tones.

Creams, whites, soft browns, greys, and neutral colours create a beautiful, timeless look that keeps the whole family connected in the photographs.

### Remember This...

Pregnancy isn't always glamorous.

Some days your feet hurt.

Some days nothing fits.

Some days you don't feel like yourself.

That's exactly why maternity photographs matter.

Years from now, your little baby won't see swollen ankles or stretch marks.

They'll simply see the woman who carried them with so much love.

And that's a beautiful story worth remembering.
